My newest prospect has turned into my most accomplished project thus far.

I was contacted by a lovely woman here in Tampa, who is originally from Germany. She has a beautiful mother, still living in Germany, who was about to be surprised by a DVD created by us.
The biggest catch, and the point of today's blog post, is how I would accomplish a multi-national video while keeping the integrity of the original composition with the format here in the states. Let's start with a little information.

Here in America, as well as a few select other countries, we have a format for video that is slightly different from the rest of the, well... world. Here we have a format that is called 'NTSC'; this format is different in the fact that is has a lower frame rate. The other format for most everyone else, including Germany, is called 'PAL' formatting which also is slightly different. NTSC has a frame rate of 29.97 fps , or as some will refer to as an even 30 frames per second, while PAL has a frame rate of 25 fps. These differences may not seem like much, but in reality they are drastically different.

What I can say about international formatting is that the differences may seem miniscule, however are very drastic. We must understand that while the conversion isn't 'easy' it is very possible. What we must stress is that we must know about the conversion before hand. Certain transitions and video styles are specifc to each formatting.

What I'm trying to say is, we are very excited about the new ability to international standards. And this is a very proud accomplishment.
